Patrol Lieutenant Levi Whitebread was born and raised in Kansas.
Sergeant Whitebread joined the Junction City Police Department in January of 2014. He attended the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, where he graduated first in his class.
He has been an active member of the SWAT team since 2016, and was promoted to the rank of Detective in the Drug Task Force in 2017. In 2018 he was promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant where he was assigned until 2020. In 2021 he was promoted to Patrol Lieutenant and moved to "C Watch."
In early 2020 he rejoined the Junction City-Geary County Drug Task Force where he currently serves as the Sergeant. Sergeant Whitebread is a recipient of a General Commendation award through the National Police Officer Hall of Fame.
